St Mary's Loch and Loch of the Lowes
A great place for stand up paddleboarding and open-top canoeing. On a calm day, this is an easy paddle. The weather and the wind can pick up quickly on both lochs, so check weather conditions in advance.
Tallah Reservoir
A scenic drive from Moffat, the Tallah reservoir is suitable to canoes and stand up paddleboards. As with all reservoirs, please check weather conditions and access restrictions.
The Evan Water
A 5 minute drive from Moffat, the Evan water is a pleasant river that runs past Beattock. Suitable for kayaks, full information can be found in the Scottish Rivers Guidebook.
The Gameshope Burn
