Moffat is a conservation town, surrounded by hills, mid-way between Carlisle, Edinburgh and Glasgow, yet less than a mile from point 15 on the A74(M), with motor fuel at non-motorway prices (which will save you around £10 on a tank), with loads of shops, cafes, restaurants and accommodation and a very popular, 180 pitch camping and caravanning site. If you are only here for a short while, you’ll maybe have time to visit Station Park, the Moffat Museum and stretch your legs on a walk beside the River Annan or enjoy the breathtaking views from Gallow Hill…
